End of an era

Today we say farewell to Garrett Chappell after an amazing three years together building the Berlow Lab! We are so grateful for all of Garrett’s contributions to the lab and as the Berlow Lab’s official first member, it is hard to imagine the lab without him. Garrett has worn many hats during his time in the lab. He is our reigning master of protein purification, local R enthusiast, keeper of all of the protocols, custom app developer, web designer, commissioner of our first ever lab Fantasy Football League, and patient mentor and friend to every member of the Berlow Lab thus far. While we will miss having Garrett in the lab full-time, our sadness about Garrett leaving is thankfully short-lived, as he will be starting as a BBSP graduate student at UNC in the fall. Thank you for everything Garrett. We can’t wait to see where your scientific journey takes you next!
